Ingredients to Create a Blissful Life #14: Passion

Hello again! This week, we’re going to talk about something that sometimes gets misunderstood or misinterpreted.

Your ingredient for week 14 is: Passion!

When you think of passion, what kinds of feelings come up? For me, it really comes down to excitement and possibility. It’s about what gets your creative juices flowing and may even be about the thing you believe you were born to do. And you know what I’ve learned? Not everyone has that. Hard for me to imagine, but there are people who just don’t seem to care about those things. I find that perplexing, but I guess I just operate from a different space.

I believe passion can come into any area of your life. It can be about your work, your relationships, your hobbies and pastimes, whatever you want it to be. Think about an avid sports fan or performer. Have you ever watched a musical performance that took you someplace else? That’s because the musician is creating something unique and amazing and the energy they’re offering communicates that to the audience.

For me, it’s about the stuff I’m teaching now. When I see someone’s light bulb go off and they realize that they can start to see things from a different point of view, it feels amazing! When they really start to understand that they actually DO have choices, WOW! And then when they start to implement and make changes that allow them to be more of themselves… I am incredibly grateful that this gets to be part of my world and feel extremely blessed. And yes, I’ll take lots and lots more of that please!

So what is it that you do that creates that yummy, blissful, creative energy in your world? Can you imagine it? When you have a handle on the feeling that creates for you, just sit with the way that feels in your body and in your being. Would you like to create more? You can have it, you just need to create the space and allow it to show up. And that, of course, begins with making a choice. Are you truly willing to show up and be you? Would you like to create the life of your dreams or stay where you’re at?

What do you choose?
